I have never left BC for a con. Never even left Vancouver.
But it was a blast!
My roommates were all super chill and we all knew what was up. We honestly all got along super well as roommates as well as friends, which was great!
Drove down with
We managed to check in at around 9:30ish and then Edwin seperated from us because he was in a different room and we were rooming with
SHE HAD SO MUCH STUFF SHE HAD TO CALL US TO HELP HER BRING IT UP LOL. Never change, Sujun. Never change.
FRIDAY:
On Day 1, I was dressed as Haqua from TWGOK and I was meeting a friend from the internet for the first time. We met because of /cgl/ but she was also a mutual friend with my new boyfriend.
OH. YES.
A guy I had been seeing for a while asked me out on day 1 of the con [like he said he would]
It was the sweetest thing and it definitely set the mood of the con for good. He's so amazing and sweet to me, and is always the best to talk to. We get along so well.
BUT YES. Meeting my friend at last
Both of them are amazing people and I can't wait to room with them at Fanime!
We also had a mini shoot with a new friend named Mr. Mistry who makes a stunning Kotetsu, except he was in civilian clothes when he shot us haha.
Then we both changed out because I had a date with Mr. Boyfriendo at a restaurant near Pike Place he had made a reservation at. It was amazing food but super filling and neither of us finished, which is surprising because he eats a lot.
SATURDAY:
Saturday was my FF13 day and it was craaaaazy.
At times, when we needed to rest/eat, we even had to turn photogs away because we just couldn't summon up the energy to pose.
Here's a link to the video, done by Ondrej who was endlessly patient with us!
But look at the amazing results!

We also managed to make use of the Sheraton's pool/hot tub which was spectacular for our aching everything. We also timed it so that barely anybody was there since it was dinner time. Vair vair smart of us.
Well actually,
Then we went to the /cgl/ meet and wow everyone is nice. Anon even bought a pizza for everyone. I didn't have a slice, but it was very kind of him to get food for everyone! I was introduced to a few of the boyfriend's friends and everyone was so chill. It was a great thing to just stand there chilling. But alas, I had to go to bed relatively early so I couldn't part with everyone because of a scheduled photoshoot in the morning.
SUNDAY:
Sunday was our lazy Pirate lolita day and I finally got to match with my boyfriend. He looks so good in pirate EGA it's a little ridiculous. I'll post pics when they're up!
Then most of the convention goers went home on Sunday afternoon but we were planning to stay another night.
So we chilling in our hotel room. HORROR MOVIES WERE WATCHED and dear god terrifying.
We watched 'Trick 'r' Treat' and also 'Shutter'
The first was based off a comic and it was a decent watch. It felt more like a parody of halloween movies, and it was enjoyable. Mostly because
Shutter was horrifying. Absolutely horrifying. But so good.
Even the guys were surprised once or twice while watching it, and that's saying something. They are both horror movie experts.
Then on Monday we just shopped a bit for some snacks/things on wish lists and headed home!
All in all it was a great con and I can't wait to go next year!
BUT AS OF NOW, PANIC MODE FOR FANIME AAAHHHHH
